Torrance Teacher’s Manifesto Unmasked After White House Dinner Shooting

The suspect behind the shocking shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner sent a detailed manifesto to his family just before opening fire at the Washington Hilton, according to reports from The New York Post. In the document, the alleged gunman expressed a radicalized disdain for the Trump administration, framing his violence as a moral necessity.

Authorities have identified the shooter as Cole Allen, a 31-year-old teacher hailing from Torrance, California. The alarm was first raised by Allen’s brother, who contacted the New London Police Department in Connecticut after receiving the document, which Allen signed with the aliases "ColdForce" and “Friendly Federal Assassin.”

A Target List and Radical Theology

According to The Post, Allen’s writings specifically targeted officials within the Trump administration, though he notably exempted FBI Director Kash Patel from his list. In a chilling interpretation of scripture, the teacher argued that pacifism in the face of the administration's actions was a sin.

“Turning the other cheek is for when you yourself are oppressed,” Allen wrote. “Turning the other cheek when someone else is oppressed is not Christian behavior; it is complicity in the oppressor’s crimes.”

He further justified his actions by citing various grievances against the administration’s policies, stating he was unwilling to let the president “coat my hands with his crimes.”

Exploiting "Insane" Security Gaps

The manifesto also serves as a damning critique of the security protocols at the Washington Hilton. Allen detailed how he allegedly exploited "arrogant" lapses in oversight, noting that by checking into the hotel a day early, he was able to bypass the heavy security focused on outside protesters.

He admitted to bringing multiple weapons into the venue, mocking the fact that attendees only had to pass through a single magnetometer to reach the main ballroom. Allen even claimed he chose buckshot for his shotgun specifically to minimize "wall penetration," though he coldly added that he considered the dinner guests "complicit" for choosing to attend.

Background and Preparation

Investigations reveal that Allen’s radicalization may have deep roots. He was reportedly linked to an activist group known as the “Wide Awakes” and had previously attended a “No Kings” protest rally.

Law enforcement confirmed that the weaponry used in the attack—two handguns and a shotgun—was purchased at Cap Tactical Firearms. Allen reportedly spent time practicing at a shooting range and stored the firearms at his parents' residence prior to the assassination attempt.

The incident has sparked a firestorm of criticism from journalists and officials alike regarding the "lax" security at high-profile events in the capital, especially following several previous threats against the president's life.
